Bring an explosion of movement and vibrant colour to your reef with this stunning Goniopora frag. Affectionately known in the hobby as the "Flowerpot Coral," Goniopora are highly prized for their long, elegant polyps that constantly sway in the water column, adding incredible life and motion to the lower sections of any marine aquascape.
This specific piece has been fully rested and conditioned in our vats. It is displaying exceptional polyp extension, actively feeding, and glowing brilliantly under our blue actinic lighting—ready to make an instant impact in your display tank.
Care at a Glance:
Placement: Low to Mid. Best placed on the sandbed or lower rockwork ledges. Ensure it has plenty of vertical room to extend its polyps without stinging neighbouring corals.
Lighting: Low to Moderate (approx. 100–150 PAR). Avoid blasting it with direct, high-intensity light, which can cause the polyps to tightly retract or bleach.
Flow: Moderate, random flow. This is the secret to success! The tentacles should sway gently and naturally, but should never be violently whipped around by direct pump flow.
Feeding: Highly recommended. To maintain these intense colours and promote rapid growth, turn off your wavemakers 2-3 times a week and target-feed a high-quality micro-plankton powder.
